All donations to Jaenne.com go towards the costs of maintaining the website for both the Jaenne.com side and the Angel Quilt Project side. Jaenne.com absorbs all monthly charges for the web space used by the Angel Quilt Project, Any subscription fees, as well as charges for the Cafe Press shop. Any additonal funds, if any, go towards software upgrades that benefit both the Angel Quilt Project as well as Jaenne.com. All promotional prizes given out by Jaenne.com are purchased directly by Jaenne Bonner without compensation from any outside source. She is just doing it to treat fans of the site.
As for a biography on Jaenne, she has been working embroidery before she even entered kindergarten. She started JJM Designs with her husband John in 1997, as a way to help her cope with the sleepless nights and pain from Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. She felt that designing patterns, drawing or painting was a way to turn something ugly like pain into something beautiful for others to enjoy. When John died in 2002, she spent a few years neglecting her site while she tried to cope with the changes in her life. She then changed the site into Jaenne.com and has resumed her quest to turn the pain into beauty and help to provide pleasure to people everywhere. She welcomes letters and e-mails from visitors to her site. She adores getting cards and letters from all over the world, and had been known to send random cards to people in her newsletter group just to say, "Hallo!" She has a husband named David and two cats: A gigantic Maine Coon named Theodore Spartacus of Antioch (the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch for Monty Python fans) who is just called Teddy and a Ragdoll Mix named Nefertiti who never stops purring and contorts her body in ways you'd never imagine an animal ever being about to do. They are the sweetest and most loving cats. David can tell when Jaenne is having a bad pain day, because the cats never leave her side when she is hurting.
This site is very large to load all the free patterns and it keeps getting larger! It depends on donations to allow us to afford to keep as many FREE patterns available as we do for download. A donation of even as little as a dollar will help us stay afloat! Please take the time to contribute.
