Jaenne's Bio
|
As for my biography, I have been working with embroidery before I even entered
kindergarten. I started JJM Designs with my husband John in 1997, as a way to
cope with the sleepless nights and pain from Rheumatoid Arthritis and
Fibromyalgia. I related drawing, designing and creating patterns was a healthy
way to turn something ugly like pain into something beautiful for others to
enjoy. When John died in 2002, my life fell apart for a while. I spent a few
years neglecting the site while I tried to cope with the changes in my life. I
then changed the site into Jaenne.com (One of the J's in JJM were for my late
husband) and I have resumed my quest to turn the pain into beauty and help to
provide pleasure to people everywhere. I love and welcomes letters and e-mails
from visitors to Jaenne.com and I appreciate feedback and special requests. I
adore getting cards and letters from all over the world, and I have been known
to send random cards to people in her newsletter group just to say,
"Hallo!" I think we all living in a global community on the computer and broadband age
and I would love to get to know you, my neighbor. I have a husband of four years named
David and two cats: A gigantic Maine Coon named Theodore Spartacus of Antioch (the
Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch for Monty Python fans) who is just called Teddy (weighing
in at an incredible 17 pounds! And the vet said he is not overweight!) and a Ragdoll Mix
named Nefertiti who never stops purring and contorts her body in ways you'd
never imagine an animal ever being about to do. They are the sweetest and most
loving cats. David can tell when I am having a bad pain day, because the cats
never leave my side, day or night when I am in bad pain.
This site is very large to load all the free patterns and it keeps getting larger! A very big reason why I have so many free patterns is because I am aware that there are many stitchers out there who are passionate about their craft, but are unable to afford many of the materials they need to keep stitching. The free patterns also attract people and hopefully introduce them to the wonderful Angel Quilt Project charity.
